LinkedIn Introduces AI-Assisted Messages to Improve Recruiter-Applicant Connections
LinkedIn is addressing the challenge of recruiters connecting with potential applicants through its new AI-assisted messages feature. Currently, cold messages often come across as impersonal and spam-like, making it difficult for recruiters to establish a personal connection. However, LinkedIn has recognized that personalized InMail messages see a 40% increase in candidate acceptance rates. To help recruiters save time and improve acceptance rates, LinkedIn is leveraging its in-house generative AI to generate personalized messages in seconds.
Instead of receiving generic, copy-and-pasted InMail messages that are easily ignored, users will now receive AI-curated notes. These messages will be tailored to the recipient’s profile, incorporating details such as work experience and job descriptions that relate to their background. By making the messages more personalized, LinkedIn aims to foster meaningful connections between recruiters and potential candidates.
The AI-assisted messages feature has already been introduced to select customers in the United States and Europe, with a broader rollout planned for June. This tool is part of LinkedIn’s efforts to enhance its platform for businesses looking to attract the right talent. In addition to AI-assisted messages, LinkedIn has introduced other features to aid recruitment efforts.
With these updates, LinkedIn aims to improve the recruitment experience for both recruiters and potential candidates. By leveraging AI technology to personalize messages, LinkedIn hopes to increase the effectiveness of outreach efforts and ultimately facilitate better matches between job seekers and companies.
